COVID-19 UPDATE: September 2020—Increased, but still reduced, Public Hours in Effect.
Hi again, Gibbs Gun Nation: With recent increases in Covid, we are continuing with reduced public hours however the lines every time we are open tell us we need more open hours. Our current compromise: longer open hours, but still reduced days open. Tuesday Noon-8 pm; Thursday Noon-6 pm; and Saturday 10 am-2 pm. We continue to work full time behind closed doors, but to reduce risk to our staff and the public, our minimal public hours will remain in effect.
We will continue with our successful "One-at-a-time" plan for social distancing in our small counter area. We are working, receiving deliveries and answering inquiries daily—whether or not the counter is open. We have experienced a significant increase in both Gunsmith & Cerakote work recently, so please contact us for current turnaround times. We are happy to set an appointment and put you in the schedule for a later time based on current workloads. This way you can save your place in line, and keep your firearm at home until we will be able to give it our full attention. Thanks so much to all for your understanding and patience as we worked through this. Stay strong! Jeffrey & Paula Gibbs

Think About It—Custom Is Our Middle Name. Each project is unique, and we've got tracking everything down to a science—from the design parameters to every screw and spring in our possession. Whether you want a classic single color, or a five color custom pattern; whether you have a complete firearm and optic, golf clubs or a shower drain—we put the same care into every piece that is hand coated in our shop. We know you have choices, and we work hard to make GCG your clear choice for Cerakote. Beyond the obvious—high quality and professional standards—each part of our process puts you, the customer, first. Simple "out the door" pricing tells you the total cost at a glance. Upfront turnaround times tell you your timing, even if we wish it was shorter. Our new "Work Track" system assures that you won't be bumped back by other projects not going as expected. We'll work closely with you from start to finish to determine your exact needs, then fill them par excellence.

We're as picky as you are.

We believe if something's worth doing, it's worth doing right. Every item that goes through Cerakote is carefully prepared to exacting standards, professionally coated and cured, then subjected to a rigorous final inspection before being reassembled or packaged for return. We always use the most conservative preparation and curing techniques, even though it takes longer. Our QC staff check for not only obvious flaws, but color brilliance, even tone, and smooth texture. If it doesn't meet our standards, it goes back to the front of the line and is redone until it does. As many times as it takes. When something leaves our shop, we've gone over every square millimeter, and we love it!

We Cerakote everything.
|
We Cerakote handguns. We Cerakote long guns, even really long ones. We Cerakote scopes. Yep, silencers too if you can legally own one. Oh, and fishing reels, toilet trip levers, flamethrowers (you read that right) and whatever else mostly fits in the oven.

Unique heat-cured Cerakote scope process.
|
Scopes normally are Cerakoted (is that a word?) with their air cured formula because the heat level used in curing can damage sensitive scopes. Not anymore, sweet! We have developed a process to use the more durable, heat cured formula without damaging scopes. We developed this process for our work sub-contracting to larger stores, and have used it with some of the finest scopes on the market, including Leupold, Swarovski and Zeiss. They are fully cured and durable, and suffer no ill effects from the process. We were the first to do this, and are the only shop on the continent who has been doing this for years—with ZERO DAMAGE. Seriously, ever. (Happy dance...)

Ok, we were doing basic single color before that. Our friend asked us to do a distressed flag look on his Sig, and we were off to the races. Tiger stripes, Zombie Killers...you name it, we'll make it happen. Below are pics of a few recent projects...check out our gallery for more.
