What's with the limited hours?
Our primary activity is service work. While we do handle plenty of sales & FFL transfers, and have a small retail display area, our operation is specifically tailored to handle gunsmithing and Cerakote as quickly and efficiently as possible. We're working, receiving deliveries and answering inquiries 6 days a week. We utilize the days we are closed to the public for "Mono-Tasking"—specific types of work that are completed much more quickly with fewer errors when uninterrupted. Through years of trial-and-error, we have found this schedule offers the best balance between our customers' needs and our own. When the counter is closed, all the guns are locked in safes, the computer system we need to process outgoing firearms is not running, and more often than not everyone has both hands full. We still answer calls and emails as we are able. For those who come by on closed days and see us inside, we appreciate your understanding on this point. There are few gunsmiths, even in as large a metro area as Chicago, and fewer still where you can walk in and speak to an actual gunsmith. This schedule allows us to have an "open door" gunsmith policy reliably 3 days a week, and still get our stuff done. Thanks guys.
