Problem: Hanging on to this brick house, with her factory polished stainless straps and smooth walnut grips, when firing. She's mighty, mighty...

Solution: Hand checkering the stainless steel front and back straps and changing to snakeskin grips. Can't take credit for the grips, but the overall effect is awesome :)

I too, have a full-size Coonan .357 magnum pistol. It was my retirement gun from 5 years ago and while I love shooting it with full power 125 grain loads at 1,450 fps, it is REALLY a handful! I had not thought of having the front & Backstraps checkered but will consider that for sure now! I also really admire those cool snakeskin grips! Thanks for the great ideas and excellent photos!
