Artists' rendering of our first Gibbs Gun—Ser. No: WWIA0001
When we attended last year's fundraiser for the WWIA, we were blown away at how this unique group helps our veterans who have come in harm's way. And knew instantly we had to donate something really special for this year's 10th Anniversary Fundraiser. After a creative session with Master Engraver Howard Simon, we decided to put our shiny new manufacturer's license to use and make a custom military rifle. It will bear the serial number WWIA0001...
's a great with the WWIA logo hand engraved on the receiver. We chose a smooth round free floating handguard to receive the logos of all 5 branches of service. In keeping with the Purple Heart colors, engraving will be accented with gold, with the rifle featuring purple details. And this will, indeed, be the first gun ever made by Gibbs Custom Gunsmithing. We will, of course, provide a Certificate of Authenticity attesting to this fact.
And you can win it! Raffle tickets are on sale now, $20 each and only 300 will be sold. Pick them up at the shop or the New Lenox American Legion. Better yet, come out for the 10th Annual WWIA Fundraiser on Saturday, March 10, from Noon-5 pm at the New Lenox American Legion. It's a great day out for a great cause: dozens of raffles; WWIA founder & 5 Purple Heart Vets fly in for it; yummy lunch; cash bar is open...overall a terrific day! Please note GCG will close at 1 pm on Saturday March 10 to attend the event. See you there!
